von Rosário Rebello de Andrade

1997, Red clay, Variable size (2.500 kg)

This piece was conceived after a multiple of clay shaped like a three-point star. The end of each point is two-sided, allowing for the connection of each multiple to those surrounding it so as to form an hexagonal pattern. As the floor covering is a building process in itself, the peace was installed in view of the space. This foto takes place in 1997, in the 7.International Biennale of Sculpture and Drawing, Caldas da Rainha, Portugal. This installation was shown three times, in the Contemporary Art Center from Gulbenkian Foundation (2004), Lisbon and Botanic Museum (1996), Lisbon.
